Responsibilities include the following:
• To use standard accounting and bookkeeping procedures to keep an accurate continuous record of the cash and financial position and manage the financial operation of the school in a virtuous cycle
• To prepare a monthly operating statement and reports of income and expenditures
• To prepare the annual budget
• To provide for the securing of a regular audit of the school’s financial records and financial positions.
• To oversee all school purchasing, financial investments, banking activities, payroll and benefits program.
• To maintain appropriate levels of insurance to protect the property and to cover the liability of the school and to ensure the safety of personnel and students in their use of the facilities
• To ensure the effective management of the food-service operation and any other auxiliary enterprises of the school.
• To assist the head of school with decisions regarding salaries and benefits for all personnel and any other decisions needing financial or operation information.
• To provide support and information in any financial, HR or operations area to the leadership of the school and Board of Trustees
