Founded in 1961, Bialik Hebrew Day School in Toronto is renowned as an outstanding Jewish educational institution, serving students from Junior Kindergarten to grade 8. We achieve our mission by focusing on our Pillars of Academic Excellence, Ahavat Israel, Jewish Values and Menschlechkeit and Accessibility.
As we move ahead to expand the growth of our school and open a second branch of Bialik on the Lebovic Campus in Vaughan in September 2013, we are looking to fill the newly created position of Campus Principal at our current branch for the 2012/13 school year.
We are seeking a Campus Principal who is a highly qualified and experienced educator. The Campus Principal will report to the Head of School. This is an opportunity for a dynamic educator to work with an experienced and talented administrative team to embrace and meet the challenges of 21st Century Jewish education.
The Campus Principal will:
• Be passionate about Jewish education and Israel
• Be a collaborative leader and team player
• Possess strong interpersonal skills
• Possess strong oral and written communication skills
• Have a strong work ethic
• Be a natural leader who will inspire staff, students and parents
• Have experience and skills in curriculum development
• Have knowledge and experience in professional development for staff
• Have a proven record of skill and experience in hiring and supervision of staff
• Have skills and experience in the effective use of metrics to measure and analyze educational outcomes
• Be a forward thinking, flexible, innovative, creative educator
• Have the ability to understand, embrace and implement administrative and instructional applications of technology
• Have prior teaching and educational administrative experience (JK-12)
• Have a knowledge of Hebrew and Jewish studies curriculum
• Have a minimum Masters in Education/Educational Administration and Principal Certification
