Middle School Principal
Donna Klein Jewish Academy, located in Boca Raton, Florida. The Donna Klein Jewish Academy, an independent non-profit Jewish community day school of approximately 700 students in junior kindergarten through grade 12, serves families from a broad spectrum of Jewish backgrounds and religious practices. The school was founded in 1979 and lives its mission: To educate our children and the greater Donna Klein Jewish Academy community to be knowledgeable and responsible citizens of the world, committed to Jewish values and lifelong learning.
The school seeks a Middle School Principal, commencing June 31, 2012, serving approximately 275 students, grades five through eight, in a dynamic, and highly academic environment, which reflects DKJA's vision: to be a model of academic excellence where students celebrate learning, the richness of Jewish life, and torah values. The ideal candidate will have: the passion, knowledge, and the ability to ensure an outstanding Jewish and general studies education for its students; the ability to multitask; up to date skills and knowledge of technology. In addition, this person will have outstanding interpersonal skills, high energy, a good sense of humor, with a commitment to working with exuberant middle school students and faculty. The principal will lead the day to day management of this division, supervising faculty and staff, overseeing curriculum, professional development, and maintaining educational standards. Proven strength in communication with other administrators, students, staff, parents, and community is critical. Above all, this person must support and model the mission and vision of the school.
The ideal candidate will have an advanced degree in education, at least 5 years of leadership experience in a Jewish middle school, including teaching experience. The position reports to the Head of School and will be a part of a collaborative leadership team.
